Soup

A bowl of soup tastes wonderful, is a treat that comforts and has many health benefits. Soup is low in calories and salt, is a high source of fluids and healthy fibre. The meat, vegetables, and beans used to make the soup provide nutritious vitamins, mineral, iron, and are antioxidants.

At Soups From Me to You, we make our small batch Soups using locally sourced Vegetables and Meats that do not contain any preservatives, additives, or GMOs.

All our products (yes, 100%!) are Gluten-Free, low in sodium (90% or less), and we have many that are Plant-Based.

Frequently Asked Questions About Soup

Can you freeze soup?

Yes, soup can safely be frozen, and it’s a method we employ for the soups we sell. Freezing our soups allows us to extend their shelf life while preserving their freshness and flavour. By freezing our soups, we ensure that customers can enjoy them at their convenience without worrying about spoilage. It also enables customers to stock up on their favourite soups and enjoy them whenever they want! Freezing our soups also helps us reduce food waste by preventing inventory from spoiling.

How long can soup stay in the fridge after thawing?

Once soup is thawed in the refrigerator, it should be consumed within 3-4 days for optimal safety and freshness. Store the soup in airtight containers to prevent contamination and maintain its quality during storage.

How long will my soup last in the freezer?

We recommend consuming Soups From Me To You products within 3 to 4 months of the “fresh prepared date” on the container for optimal taste and quality.

Can I re-freeze my soup in a mason jar?

It’s best to thaw the whole container, this ensures that the soup is completely mixed together as some soups can separate when thawed. You can refreeze soup, so long as you reheat it again before putting it back in the freezer. Ensure that your soup is brought back to a low boiling point (to kill any bacteria), cool and refreeze in a freshly washed container.

Are your soups vegetarian?

Many of our soups are vegetarian-friendly! Explore our selection of vegetarian soups here.

Are your soups dairy-free?

Most of our soups are dairy-free! We use coconut milk as a dairy replacement in some of our soups. Explore our selection of dairy-free soups here.

Are your soups nut-free?

Yes, with the exception of our Thai Carrot Soup, all our soups are nut-free. We also take measures to prevent cross-contamination during the production of any product that contain nuts.
